Australia Pesticide Regulatory Compliance

In Australia, the main pesticide legislation and implementation agency is Australian Pesticide and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA), which is responsible for pesticides registration, importing, processing, storage, transportation, sales, use and law enforcement etc. The main pesticide regulation is the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Act 1994.

Canada Pesticide Regulatory Compliance

In Canada, the main pesticide legislation and implementation agencies are Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA), Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Provincial’s Department of Environment. The main pesticide regulation is the Pest Control Products Act.

Southeast Asia Pesticide Regulatory Compliance (For example in Thailand)

In Thailand, the pesticide management system consists of three levels: central, regional and provincial levels. The main pesticide regulation is the Hazardous Substances Act (No.3) B.E.2551.

South America Pesticide Regulatory Compliance (For example in Argentina)

In Argentina, the pesticide management authority is SENASA, responsible for pesticide registration supervision. The national food inspection and quarantine bureau is responsible for the pesticides inspection and test. The system of Argentina pesticide registration requires one registration license corresponding to one pesticide. Besides, if companies want to register formulation, they must register technical material firstly. The main pesticide regulation is the Law No.4975 Plant Protection Act.

Middle East Pesticide Regulatory Compliance (For example in Egypt)

In Egypt, Ministry of Agriculture is the main department responsible for pesticide management work. And Ministry of Health is in charge of registration management of hygienic insecticides. The main pesticide regulation is the Agriculture Act No. 53, 1966.

Africa Pesticide Regulatory Compliance (For example in Kenya)

In Kenya, Pest Control Products Board (PCPB) is the pesticide management department, responsible for pesticide registration, controlling and managing pesticide importing/ exporting, production, distribution and application. The main pesticide regulation is the Pest Control Products Act, Cap 346.
