REACH24H once more successfully ended its 9^th Chemical Regulatory Annual Conference in the city of Hangzhou, China. The event was held at the Marriot Hotel, where professionals from the chemical, pesticides, consumer products and food contact material industries gathered and shared the latest insight in regulatory affairs in the field.

The event kicked off on October 31, with an afternoon dedicated to the most recent updates on the Flavor and Fragrance industry. A welcome reception followed, where speakers, relevant industry and government representatives and guests were invited to a welcome reception at the famous Hangzhou G20 Exhibition Center. The following professionals’ contribution was key to the success of the Flavor and Fragrance Session: Ms. Yi Li (China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce), Ms. Poppy Zhang, Ms. Lucia Zhu, Dr. Collin Yan and Mr. Jerrison Wei (REACH24H).

Among others, Ms. Catherine Cornu the European Chemical Agency addressed challenges concerning the EU REACH and how the increased number of filing SMEs propelled the decision to provide specific assistance tools on its online platform to ensure a timely and correct application process ahead of the 2018 deadline.  Mr. Robert Kiefer from REACH24 U.S. Inc. offered an overview of the latest changes under the 2016 U.S. TSCA Reform Act, while Ms. Heddy Chen from REACH24H received great praise for her straight-forward introduction to the main regulatory requirements in South Korea and her suggestions to minimize registration costs.

On the same day, a parallel session was held on the global registration of pesticides. In order to ensure attendees were exposed to new content and networking opportunities, CRAC 2017 enjoyed the presence of experts no only on Chinese, EU and U.S. regulations, but also speakers from Argentina and Brazil to gain an insight into pesticide regulatory trends in South America, as well as experts from Myanmar and Thailand. At the closing event of the CRAC Summit, the General Manager of REACH24H Mr. Nathan Chen expressed his gratitude towards all participants and partners who secured the success of the conference. A special mention was made to the change observed in China’s chemical regulatory compliance development in the last ten years. Mr. Chen mentioned that Chinese companies have not only grasped the relevance of data management, but are now investing resources to establish a complete database of their own products and actively seek to contribute to the overall data management system.  In a similar way, REACH24H’s has also observed a gradual and steady growth, expanding its service network to other regions around the world while always ensuring the highest quality of regulatory compliance.

The CRAC 2017 thus ended, bringing together experts from various fields and regions to jointly promote the development of the industry and explore new ideas and projections for the future. The Organizing Committee welcomes all interested parties to join REACH24H for its 2018 edition of the CRAC which will be held next year in the historical city of Chengdu in the south of China to once more share relevant regulatory legislation, learn from different approaches and expand their network in the relevant fields.
