REACH24H Attended the 4th Non-animal Alternative Seminars and Training Sessions

During April 7-11 2015, REACH 24H was invited to attend the 4th non-animal alternative seminars and training sessions organized by the Guangdong Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Technology Center and co-organized by Center for Drug Safety Evaluation and Research of Sun Yat-Sen University. Our Regulatory Toxicologist Cindy Xie, who is a core member of the Cosmetic Division, presented the “the application of non-biological method in chemical registration and assessment”, which attracted attention of the delegates.   

This is the fourth time that the Guangdong Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Technology Center hosts the non-animal alternative academic seminars and training sessions
Every time the event attracts a widespread attention and participation of stakeholders. At the seminar, experts from various fields were invited, including experts from National Health and Family Planning Commission, China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment, business representatives from L’Oreal, Procter & Gamble, Amway, as well as researchers from Institute for In Vitro Sciences (IIVS), the third affiliated hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University, Sun Yat-Sen University, fourth Military Medical University and etc. The participants shared and exchanged opinion on the latest development on toxicological non-animal alternative methods and animal welfare issues, which creates a warm atmosphere.

After the meeting, some representatives of REACH 24H attended the three-day vitro testing technical training.
