China REACH: China MEE to Add 6 Substances into IECSC
On August 31, 2022, the Chinese Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) published a public invitation for comments on the addition of 6 substances to the Inventory of Existing Chemical Substances in China (IECSC). Comments are welcome before September 14, 2022.
Details about these substances can be accessed here at ChemLinked, including chemical name (both in Chinese and English), CAS number or Series number, molecular formula, structural formula, etc.
These 6 substances were manufactured in or imported into China before October 15, 2003, which fulfilled the supplementation criteria but missed the previous supplementation window. They are now going to be regulated as existing chemical substances in China, and thus free from new chemical registration or notification requirements under the Measures for the Ecology and Environmental Management Registration of New Chemical Substances (MEE Order No.12).
The last update to the IECSC was made on July 19, 2022, adding 22 substances (China MEE Adds 22 Chemical Substances into IECSC).
