Since the implementation of Decree No.7 (China Reach) of MEP, the CRC has summoned experts specialized in the naming of chemicals, to provide technical support over the queries happen during the IECSC search. While the searching result becomes more accurate, the cost for providing this service increases. Coupled with other reasons such as the labor cost has been up in the rise in the past decade, the CRC has decided to renew the charge for IECSC search stated as follows:

For the IECSC search, whether the result being ‘new chemical’ or not, will charge a fee of 600.00 CNY from January 1, 2013. The only condition free of charge comes when the result of searching turns out as ‘unidentified’.
