Robert Kiefer, General Manager of REACH24H USA Inc. is pleased to announce that Dr. Shannon Gainey, Ph.D. will join REACH24H as Technical & Regulatory Director. Dr. Gainey joins REACH24H from Origin Materials where she recently served as Product Stewardship and Regulatory Leader.  She starts on October 1, 2019.

Dr. Gainey is a Ph.D. chemist with 15 years of EHS and regulatory experience working for leading companies in the chemical industry including Hallstar, Evonik Corporation, Afton Chemical Corporation, and Ashland, Inc.  She has extensive product stewardship and regulatory compliance experience in domestic and global chemical control regulations (U.S. TSCA, Canada CEPA, EU REACH, A-P Region); GHS hazard communication (OSHA HazCom 2012) and transport classification; FDA compliance (food contact/personal care/cosmetics); and FIFRA pesticide inerts.  In addition, Shannon was also Chair of the ACC TSCA Working Group.

“Shannon will be a tremendous addition to the REACH24H USA team through her extensive experience and knowledge in managing chemical and product regulatory issues as we expand and strengthen our technical staff so that we can provide more U.S. based services”, Kiefer said.

As Technical & Regulatory Director of REACH24H USA, Dr. Gainey will support all four of REACH24H’s business units including chemicals, cosmetics, food contact materials, and pesticides and will oversee and manage all U.S./Canada technical projects.

Dr. Gainey earned a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of North Carolina, and a BS in Chemistry from the University of North Caroline – Wilmington.  She currently lives in Chicago, IL with her husband and four children.
