“Interpretation on Inventory of Hazardous Chemicals (2015) Seminar” hosted by The Chemical Daily came to a successful end in Tokyo, Japan. REACH24H presented as the only speaker to analyze the possible influences of newly published inventory, and provide compliance strategies on hazardous chemical registration in China. This half-day seminar attracted over 100 attendees, including decision-makers of multi-nationals, corporate EHS affair supervisors, relevant experts and managing directors of enterprises.
On 9 Mar 2015, China’s Inventory of Hazardous Chemicals (2015) was jointly issued by 10 departments under the central government. It will take effect from 1 May 2015 and replace the Catalogue of Hazardous Chemicals (2002) and Inventory of Chinese Highly Toxic Chemicals (2002). The inventory contains 2828 well-recognized hazardous chemicals and will help guide the administrative work of the authorities, as well as clarify industries’ obligations under State Council Decree 591 and its sub-regulations.
In the seminar, Senior Chemical Regulatory Consultant Ms. Cassie Li and Global GHS expert Mr. Eric Sun from REACH24H delivered detailed explanation on Current Status of Hazardous Chemical Management in China, and provided Compliance Strategies on Newly Published Inventory of Hazardous Chemicals (2015). Moreover, Eric Sun also indicated the ways to manage hazardous chemical registration in China and pointed out the importance of complying with the regulations before importing and exporting of chemicals in China.
This one-day seminar enabled Japanese companies to share best practice and gain a greater understanding of the latest developments in the chemical regulatory environment in China.
