WASHINGTON, DC, 17 April – As a prominent provider of global regulatory compliance services for the chemical industry, REACH24H was invited to make a significant contribution as a guest speaker at the highly regarded GlobalChem 2023 conference held in Washington, DC from April 3-5. REACH24H has been participating in GlobalChem since around 2012, and this year the company presented at the “Global Update: China’s Chemical Strategy” Plenary Session on April 5.

Focusing on China’s MEE Order No.12

The Measures for the Environmental Management Registration of New Chemical Substances (MEE Order No.12 or “China REACH”) require companies to provide vital information about their products to the government to evaluate environmental and human health risks. Furthermore, last year, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment in China announced plans to intensify environmental supervision and spot checks, enforce regulations, and impose more severe penalties for non-compliant enterprises.

These measures demonstrate the Chinese government’s commitment to upholding environmental protection standards and ensuring compliance with regulations. In light of this, REACH24H recognizes the significance of providing global companies with the necessary guidance and support to navigate the Chinese regulatory landscape.

At the conference, REACH24H’s General Manager, Robert Kiefer, presented lessons learned from MEE Order No. 12,  and other regulatory compliance topics. Donna Newhouse from Huntsman and Zhuqing Yang from Dow China also participated in the panel discussion.
