China Regulatory Compliance Workshop Germany 2012-June 12

June 12 2012, REACH24H held “China Regulatory Compliance Workshop Germany” in Hamburg, Germany. In the workshop provided an overview on the management and implementation of several Chinese chemical regulations – China New Chemical Substance Notification (China NCSN), China GHS and other regulations in China, including pesticide, cosmetic, additive area. The conference had attracted over 50 audiences who are decision makers of all disciplines in chemical supply chain and wish to enhance their knowledge and facilitate their participation in the Chinese market.

Ms. Crystal Yang, BD manager from REACH24H Consulting Group, introduced the implementation of China NCSN on supply chain of the chemicals by CRC-MEP before the chemicals entering Chinese market. Ms. Yang gave the detailed information regarding preparation, complement and obligation of new chemical substance notification in China by giving practical cases, which happened in chemical involved industries.
Dr. Renee Liang from REACH24H gave the presentation on how to improve GHS compliance in China based on the perspectives of manufacturers, importers, downstream users and other actors in supply chain. The GHS compliancy focus on standards, the enforcement of updated China GHS regulations, and the preparation of (M)SDS.
Mr. Nathan Chen, the deputy general manager of REACH24H, gave the presentation on Protection of Intellectual Property Rights under Chinese Compliance Process. Mr. Chen introduced practical ways to conceal or avoid disclosing confidential information during regulation compliance work in China, e.g. new chemical notification or SDS preparation. He emphasized on the importance of IPR protection under Chinese legal system and the balance between compliance process and IPR protection.

The workshop received warm welcome and positive feedback from attendees. It was a very good opportunity that REACH24H bring the latest regulation news in China to Europe, have face-to-face communication with chemical companies, learn their needs and problems, and help them to comply with Chinese regulation.
