On December 31, 2009, the Turkish Biocidal Products Regulation (Turkish BPR) was published with Regulation Number 27449. On March 12, 2014, Turkish BPR was consolidated with the Number 28939. The product types included in Turkish BPR has been prepared in parallel with EU Biocidal Products Directive (BPD, Directive 98/8/EC) and EU Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR, Regulation (EU) 528/2012).
According to the latest policy in Turkey, for the Biocidal Products whose Product Types (PT) fall into PT 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 21, 22 and 23 under Turkish BPR, the Inventory Notification should be submitted to the Turkey Ministry of Health (MoH) by January 1, 2018. Those biocidal products, which are submitted the approved Inventory Notification and listed in the “Inventory Notification Approved Products List”, could be made available on the Turkish market until January 1, 2020 with the condition of progressing the provisional application between January 1, 2018 and January 1, 2019.
