The UK formally exited the European Union on Jan. 31, 2020 with a deal, the Withdrawal Agreement (WA), which established the transition period and set the scene for the negotiations for a Free Trade Agreement to take place. The Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA) was reached in Dec. 2020 and came into effect on Jan. 1, 2021.
Now the UK is a fully independent country from the EU and has implemented the regulatory framework for cosmetic products being placed in the UK market. It is high time the cosmetic enterprises complete all the necessary steps to stay compliant with the UK regulations, including establishing a UK-based responsible person, completing new notification through the UK notification portal, re-labelling cosmetics to include new RP name and address, etc.
During the webinar, Mr. Nicholas from Cosmetic Toiletry & Perfume Association (U.K.) will cover the main aspects and key changes in the UK post-Brexit cosmetic regulations and give a brief overview of the Trade and Cooperation Agreement and UK REACH.
