Chemicals are part of our daily life. The development of this field, with has traditionally relied on animal experimentation for risk assessment has also brought along new alternative chemical testing methods, ensuring safer chemicals “by design”. Companies involved in the cosmetic industry (raw materials and finished cosmetic products) and safety assessors could greatly benefit from these methods, which includes In silico toxicology.
Following this idea, this workshop will discuss international regulations on Cosmetics, focusing on alternative approaches and their success in the safety evaluation of cosmetic ingredients.
Asia-Pacific makes up one of the largest share of the beauty and personal market and the Asian consumption of cosmetics is set to continue growing.
