Background
The Act on Registration and Evaluation, etc. of Chemicals (K-REACH) is one of Korea’s most important laws and regulations on chemical substances, ensuring the safety of public health and the environment and promoting the transparency and accountability of chemical management. As of January 1, 2025, the revision to K-REACH has come into effect, raising the tonnage band for new chemical registration from 0.1 t/y to 1 t/y.
