China International Vehicle Interior Summit 2017

October 19-20 2017 · Shanghai, China

In 2016, the Chinese Ministry of Environment Protection released the “Evaluation Guidelines for Air Quality in Passenger Vehicles”, which dictate strict standards for the use of potentially hazardous substances that effect air quality in a vehicle’s interior. As of 2017, all major carmakers are in the process of overhauling vehicle production in China, to ensure full regulatory compliance.

In an effort to educate the automotive industry about recent developments, and facilitate the sharing the knowledge, innovation, and best practices, Duxes will host the China International Vehicle Interior Summit 2017 in Shanghai. The two-day event will draw experts in the field, from leading OEMs, government agencies, and non-profit associations.

The summit will explore topics related to vehicle interiors, with a special emphasis on innovative materials, functions, user interfaces, and other features that will be utilized in future vehicles. Notable presentations will be delivered by representatives of consumer, industry, and research institutions, about the effects of recent legislation, the status of the Chinese market, and studies into the science of air quality in passenger vehicles. Further content from a full range of leading OEMs and technology companies will break down such phenomena as lightweight materials, the integration artificial intelligence into the passenger-vehicle relationship, seat management and safety systems, and other significant technical developments.

The China International Vehicle Interior Summit 2017 follows the success of previous events in Duxes’ Auto Series, which include nearly a decade of engagement with the industry on diverse sectors, including remanufacturing, powertrain, telematics, and vehicle insurance. Professionals working for OEMs, chemical and materials companies, testing companies, manufacturers of seats, filters, and components, as well as in related areas of vehicle insurance, consulting, and certification, are invited to attend.
